Autumn Rains
Images of fields and distant hills, with wind and rainclouds, taken from my windows at home.
This is a collection of photographs I took from out of my windows at home in Wales, to accompany some poetry on my blog at http://www.simonhlilly.com Some are through rain-spattered glass. I have played around with the original images somewhat. I like the way the light and breadth (as well as subject matter), reminds me of some of the landscape paintings of the English Romantics, even the Pre-Raphaelites, with a little Impressionism thrown in. They have a lyrical pastoral theme in keeping with the season's mood, I think.
