Troed Rhiw

Sun and shade on the Cambrian Mountains, Mid Wales in February. Light of Candlemas.

We have had a very rainy, grey autumn and winter in Wales this year, so I was glad to get out on a brighter, showery day a week ago. I wanted to get some source material, especially of the colours of the hills around a region of the Cambrian Mountains known as Troed Rhiw.  I had missed the shocking bright reds of fallen leaves and bracken that I saw in December, but was happy to see the occassional sunlight light casting really dramatic contrast across the hills and valleys around the River Towey. There are some rain spots on my lens that I will have to clean up, but I was pleased to get a few 'Romantic' style pictures.
